With city builders, I found it quite hard to be overly unique. I really like clean layouts, and that's something that has been done plenty before. All the icons have to be quite literal so people know what they are looking at, but they are a little bigger than you would normally find! 

I tried to keep colour to a minimum without washing it out. I beveled the hud by accident at first, but I like the cartoony pop it has, especially since a lot of my icons are a little less serious.
